Harry has performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious classical music venues, including The Barbican Hall, The Stoller Hall, The Bridgewater Hall, London King’s Place, and Birmingham Symphony Hall. Harry is a former conductor of Ad Solem Chamber Choir, with whom he toured to Scotland, Ireland, and Hong Kong, and has recently started a post as an Associate Choral Leader for St Martin-In-the-Fields, London’s Diocese of Manchester Choral Scholars.

Harry’s freelance career has seen him perform with a wealth of professional groups, including Echo Vocal Ensemble, Kantos Chamber Choir, Genesis Sixteen, VOCES8 Scholars, London Choral Sinfonia, and Manchester Cathedral Choir.

Harry is known for his bubbly and vibrant character, as well as his passion for all things Liverpool FC and Cricket. He is greatly looking forward to leading The Mancunium Consort group through this incredibly exciting stage in its development, and its many future endeavors!

His professional endeavors have seen him perform with distinction across the world, performing regularly with world-renowned ensembles including APOLLO5, The Monteverdi Choir, Collegium Vocale Gent, The Gabrielli Consort, St Martin’s Voices, Kantos Chamber Choir, Chorus of the Age Enlightenment, and many more.

In addition to his performances, Joseph served as a Tenor Lay Clerk at Manchester Cathedral, alongside serving as a BBC Daily Service singer. When not singing, Joseph enjoys drinking beer and eating curry.

A versatile singer, she has performed professionally as a soloist at the Wimbledon International Music Festival and in recital alongside renowned soprano, Dame Emma Kirkby. Choral music has taken her to venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Bridgewater Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. She has been the recipient of numerous accolades during her studies most notably the Pamela Hart Third Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary Competition, alongside numerous RNCM awards and success at the David Clover Festival of Singing.

Her credits include Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) and Bastienne, and scenes as Titania (A Midsummer Nights’ Dream) and Ora 2 (L’Egisto). A lover of contemporary music, she was privileged to originate the role of ‘Philosopher’ in David Bicarregui’s ‘Capsule’ last spring.

Clementine joined The Mancunium Consort in May 2024, alongside her work as a scholar with the Diocese of Manchester under St Martin-in-the-fields. She also sings with an upper voices folk sextet, Ventis.

Laura is a founding member of The Mancunium Consort, and her increasing ensemble work is taking her to prestigious classical music venues as The Bridgewater Hall, Sheffield City Hall and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Laura is the Manager of Ad Solem Chamber Choir, and she recently completed a choral scholarship year in Manchester with St Martin-in-the-Fields, where she broadcasted multiple times with the BBC and Church of England.

Laura’s budding solo career has seen her undertake a Junior Artist position with Glyndebourne Opera, the ‘Youth’ and Soprano Soloist in Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ with Salford Choral Society, and as a soprano soloist for Poulenc’s ‘Gloria’ with the University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Laura is also a keen sportswoman, playing competitive hockey for a number of years, and is currently training for her first marathon!

She is currently studying a PGDip in Community Conducting and will return to the RNCM next year to start her Masters. Merel-Magali’s love for performing unfolded after participating in Dorset Opera Festival, where she joined the chorus for years after. At the RNCM she has participated in opera(scenes) by Handel,Mozart, Haydn, Dove and Strauss. She debuted with The Mancunium Consort in October 2023, and has greatly enjoyed contributing to the ensemble’s development over the last two years.

In 2024, Merel-Magali won First Prize in the RNCM Song-Cycle Competition, Second Prize in the Williams-Howard Prize, Third Prize in the GSVC in Michigan and recently placed herself in the Finals for both the Recital and Opera category at the David Clover Competition for Singing. She sang in masterclasses with Ann Murray DBE, Della Jones, Susan Bullock & Michael Chance o.a. Merel-Magali has developed herself into an established ensemble-singer and soloist. She is a Lay-clerk for Manchester Cathedral and sings regularly with the VOCES8 Foundation and other professional ensembles. Merel-Magali has performed recitals at Bridgewater Hall and Buxton International Festival and sang in the Sony/BBC movie ‘The Choral’ by Alan Bennett. Most recently, she sang her first role; Cherubino, was a soloist for the Messiah with the Hallé Choral Academy and Salford Choral Society and performed Rutter’s work ‘Feel the Spirit’ with Leeds Philharmonic Choir, under the baton of David Hill.

She served as a Diocese of Manchester Choral Scholar for two years under Andrew Earis, musical director of London’s St Martin-in-the-Fields, and is currently an alto Lay Clerk at Blackburn Cathedral.

Toluwani is a founding member of The Mancunium Consort, and was a member of the thirteenth cohort of Genesis Sixteen, working under Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan. Toluwani is currently a Bridging the Gap Artist for the Dunedin Consort, touring and performing regularly with the group.

Brennan joined The Mancunium Consort in May 2024, bringing with him over 22 years of work in professional choirs. Brennan is a confident and accomplished ensemble singer, having performed in several of the country’s most prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Stoller Hall, and Birmingham Symphony Hall.

In every aspect of his music making Brennan has always strived for excellence in solo and ensemble work, building a broad freelancing career. He has worked with many choirs over the years, including The Rodolfus Choir, Kantos Chamber Choir, The Godfrey Searle Choir, Blackburn Cathedral Choir, and Leicester Cathedral Choir as well as bringing his ensemble skills to the choruses of the Buxton International Festival, HGO, and Glyndebourne Opera Festival. He also has extensive experience recording for film at studios such as Abbey Road Studios, and enjoys working with gospel choirs such as Manchester Inspirational Voices.

During his university studies, which also included French, Gaelic and Spanish, Joshua developed a love for choral and consort music, holding scholarships with the University of Glasgow Chapel Choir, Paisley Abbey Choir, and a Leverhulme Scholarship with NYCOS (National Youth Choir of Scotland) Chamber Choir.

Joshua has also sung with NYCOS at the BBC Proms, at Carnegie Hall New York, at the Philharmonie de Paris, in Belgium for the Passchendaele centenary commemorations and at the Berlioz Festival La Côte-Saint-André under Sir John Eliot Gardiner. Having been selected for UK young artist programmes such as Genesis Sixteen for their 2022/23 cohort, and the Dunedin Consort’s Bridging the Gap, Joshua has since been grateful to perform with groups such as these on a professional basis – most recently with the Dunedin Consort in Vienna for their performance of Handel’s Susanna at the Wiener Konzerthaus.

In September 2023, Joshua began his MMus studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under Scott Johnson. Recent credits include Le Roi (Cendrillon) and Neptune (Idomeneo) at the RCS, as well as a professional debut in the role of The Notary (Gianni Schicchi) at Grange Park Opera. Upcoming in March 2025, Joshua will sing the role of Sarastro in the RCS Opera School production of Die Zauberflöte, and that same month is thrilled to be spending a week working with the Samling Institute for Young Artists on the Samling Artist Programme.

Joshua was delighted to debut with the Mancunium Consort during the Summer of 2024, and looks forward to joining the group in a full-time capacity this season.
